The Portraits

I take inspiration from classical portraiture techniques. These combine dramatic chiaroscuro lighting with deliberate composition to reveal depth, character, and emotion. The key is to capture the subject's presence using light and shadow to render form in a manner reminiscent of the old masters. My hope is to create timeless pieces that may be passed down through the generations.

Portrait commissions start at $1,000. Some work is paid for, but some work is called for - when a vision is mutual, that number won't stand in the way.
