Intro

I create portraits in the chiaroscuro style, using bold contrast and careful lighting designs to render subjects emerging from darkness. This is not a full-time venture, rather an art project. I take comissions on occasion.

There is one specific piece of feedback I get that led me to grow this practice: that my subjects recognize themselves in them. It's not just because they look better, but because they see the person they know themselves to be.

Commissions

I take commissions on occasion. Some book for themselves, others arrange sessions as gifts for loved ones. Commissioned portrait sessions start at $1,800.

These sessions are unhurried and take the time they need. Subjects are always welcome to bring a companion.

I work with several experienced makeup artists familiar with my style, commissions include their services.
